报告人简介:

刘雪明,浙江大学求是特聘教授。国家杰青获得者、“百千万人才工程”国家级人选。获得王大珩中青年科技人员光学奖,获得国务院政府特殊津贴。连续五年(2014至2018年)入选爱思唯尔(Elsevier)年度中国高被引学者。3篇论文被评为年度中国百篇最具影响国际学术论文。1篇论文入选“2014中国光学重要成果”,1篇论文入选“2018中国光学十大进展”。


Biography:

Xueming Liu is a specially appointed professor of "QiuShi" at Zhejiang University. He was a National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholar. He was honored to the National Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talent Project. He was honored to the Wang Daheng Optical Award (Young & middle-aged scientific and technical personnel award). He received a special allowance from the Government of the State Council. He was elected to Most Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier from 2014 to 2018. Three papers were chosen as annual TOP 100 MOST CITED CHINESE PAPERS PUBLISHED IN INTERNATIONAL JOURNALS. One of his papers was selected as "Important Achievements of Chinese Optics in 2014". One of his papers was selected as "Top Ten Progress of Chinese Optics in 2018".



报告摘要:

超短高能量脉冲光纤激光器在通信、传感、精密机械加工等领域均有重要的应用。如何提高激光脉冲的功率和能量,掌握和利用超短脉冲光纤激光的复杂非线性,开展高能量、超宽带全光纤超短脉冲激光应用的关键技术研究,成为了光纤脉冲激光的重要科学问题。我们总结了近年来国内外关于锁模光纤激光器研究的一些关键技术和重要成果,分析了各类激光器及所产生脉冲的优缺点,重点讨论了不同色散区内光纤激光器的典型行为特征,从理论与实验两方面揭示了耗散孤子的产生机理、输出特性及其演化规律。


Abstract: 

Ultra-short high-energy pulse fiber lasers can be found important applications in the areas of optic communication, sensing, precision machining, and material processing. How to increase the power and energy of the laser pulse, control and utilize the complex nonlinearity, and develop the key technologies for the applications of high-power, high-energy, and ultra-broadband all-fiber ultra-short pulse lasers become the important scientific issues for the exploration of new phenomena and schemes as well as the breakthrough of technical systems about fiber laser pulses. We briefly review some key techniques and important progresses about mode-locked fiber lasers, discuss the merits and drawbacks of various fiber lasers and pulses, also introduce our research results in the past several years about how to improve the performance of fiber lasers. We particularly discuss the typical behaviors of fiber lasers operating in different dispersion regimes, and demonstrate both experimentally and numerically the formation mechanisms, output features, and dynamic evolutions of dissipative solitons.
